Our Approach

We take an holistic approach to treatment and pride ourselves on seeking the root cause of the problem, not just treating your symptoms. This is extremely important in resolving chronic pain that has been present for more than one month, as there are often numerous factors that need to be addressed for a complete recovery.

All of our therapists continue to update their skills regularly through both in house and external post graduate courses, providing a wide range of treatment approaches. We treat a broad spectrum of conditions from the more common acute sprained ankle through to chronic back and shoulder conditions.

What to expect from your appointment?

A regular physiotherapy appointment will always involve the therapist taking a detailed history of the injury to ensure they make the correct diagnosis. This is very important so that the therapist can find the root cause of your injury. From there, your appointment can include a combination of the following aspects:

  • Hands on treatment
  • Targeted exercises
  • Dry Needling
  • Massage/Trigger point releases
Most often, you will be given a home exercise program to complete to help reinforce the treatment that you have received. This will most include 3 – 5 exercises that will take no longer than 30 minutes. The therapist will accommodate this to the amount of time you feel you can commit to the program.

Length of Assessment = 1 hour
Length of Follow Up Assessments = 30 mins to 1 hour

Please wear appropriate clothing to your appointment, or bring shorts and a singlet with you as your therapist will need to assess the injured body part, and other areas of the body.
